At The Valley School For Dental Assisting in Encino and Downey, our California Dental Board-approved Registered Dental Assistant Program, RDA Modules 2 & 3 will run a total of 12 weeks each, after completion of the 12-week DA Program. Students will be eligible to take the RDA  course after completion of our Dental Assistant Program. These courses prepare students for an entry-level job as a Dental Assistant. Upon completion of all our RDA courses, graduates are eligible to sit for their Registered Dental Assistant Exam.

This course will include classroom, lab, and clinic hours. RDA Module 3 includes lecture material as well as hands-on training, and there is a minimum of 230 hours of lecture, lab, clinic, home study, and 66 hours of externship.

Registered Dental Assistants (RDA) are allowed to perform many more job duties than a Dental Assistant as well as earn a greater compensation than an unlicensed Dental Assistant (DA). Students will learn how to work with General Dentists as well as Dental Specialists, and, will also be provided with job placement assistance and test preparation for the RDA Licensing Exam.

*Students must complete DA program, RDA Module 2, and RDA Module 3 before being eligible to sit for the California Registered Dental Assistant Exam. After completion of this course, Module 3 students are eligible to sit for the California RDA Exam.

Our class sizes are small and our students receive plenty of one-on-one training.

All of our students will be given login access to their own student portal so that they can keep track of any school announcements, class news, their attendance, and grades.

Dental offices call us regularly looking for graduates to hire. With login access, our students are able to see VSDA's Job Board. On this page, we list all current job openings.
