The Tickled Tooth is entering an exciting new chapter as we rebrand and grow our practice with fresh energy and vision. We’re looking for a dynamic Dental Assistant (DA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) who is not only experienced in pediatric dentistry but also passionate about creating joyful, memorable experiences for children and their families.

As our practice is growing, we are looking for someone who would be interested in being cross-trained in orthodontics to support the orthodontist and interested in learning and expanding their skills.

What We’re Looking For:

Pediatric Dental Experience: Must have prior experience in a pediatric dental setting.
***Orthodontic Experience or Interest***: Prior orthodontic assisting experience is a big plus. If you don’t have it yet, you must be open and excited to be cross-trained in orthodontics as we expand this side of our practice.
Outstanding Customer Service: You love working with people, thrive in a team-oriented environment, and go above and beyond to make families feel welcomed and cared for.
Warm, Outgoing Personality: You enjoy building relationships and can put both children and their parents at ease.
Excellent Communication Skills: Clear, kind, and professional communication with patients and team members.
Tech-Savvy: With lots of new technology being implemented in the office, you must be quick to learn new systems and technologies. Familiarity with Oryx is a plus.
Organized & Efficient: Able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible & Adaptable: Comfortable with change and ready to grow along with the practice.
Self-Motivated & Reliable: Takes initiative, manages responsibilities independently, and follows through consistently.
Professionalism: Maintains a polished appearance and demeanor, representing the practice with pride.

Responsibilities

Assisting operative procedures
Completing coronal polish
Providing education to patients and parents with excellent communication skills
Setting up instruments, materials, and equipment knowledgeably
Sterilizing instruments and maintaining infection control according to standards & regulations
Maintaining accurate & detailed patient records
Supporting orthodontic procedures and/or being cross-trained to assist our orthodontist as part of the growing practice
Required Qualifications

1-2+ year work experience in pediatric dentistry
***Coronal polishing certificate
Experience working with children
X-ray certification
Excellent computer competency
BLS/CPR/First Aid/AED certification
Sealant certification for RDA
