DA/RDA- Summary of Essential Job Functions:
• Greet and welcome patients
• Prepares patient, sterilize and disinfect instruments
• Set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist dentist during dental procedures in a timely manner.
• Take digital x-rays, perform coronal polishing, make provisional restorations (if licensed to do so)
• Precisely take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
• Soothe patients; reduce patient’s anxiety and distress.
• Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by the dentist.
• Ensure that patient records are accurate and complete, and that patient confidentiality is strictly maintained.
• Other duties as assigned.
