Ultrasonic Scaling Classes
If you looking to further your dental assisting career, our ultrasonic scaling course could be a great fit for you! Ultrasonic scaling is the proper technique for removing stubborn plaque while reducing the amount of time of your client’s cleaning procedure. This is a one-day, all-inclusive learning course that teaches students how to properly execute this method to remove cement from orthodontically banded teeth. The breakdown for this course is:
- Four hours of lecture
- Two hours of lab work
- Two hours of clinical work

CPR Classes
CPR is not only important for healthcare professionals and dental assistants but also for the general public! According to the American Heart Association, “Almost 90% of people who suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrests die. CPR, especially if performed in the first few minutes of cardiac arrest, can double or triple a person’s chance of survival.” VSDA’s CPR course is a two-hour class that provides students with the necessary skills to perform CPR in the case of an emergency. X-Ray Classes
The state of California requires dental assistants to have their California Radiation Safety (X-ray) certificate to take dental x-rays in the office. Coronal Polish
VSDA offers a two-day course in Encino or Downey for students interested in receiving their coronal polish certification. This certificate is a requirement of the California Dental Board for unlicensed Dental Assistants, those Dental Assistants who are seeking to become an RDA, renew an RDA License, and/or perform coronal polishing on patients in a dental office.
